What advice would you share?

We’ve put together some words of advice for students entering high school. What would you add?


Be True to Yourself: Don’t feel pressured to conform to others' expectations or trends. Embrace who you are and be confident in your unique qualities.



Cherish Your Relationships: Build and maintain meaningful connections with friends, family, and mentors. These relationships will support and guide you through the highs and lows of high school.


Don’t Be Afraid to Fail: Mistakes and setbacks are a natural part of growth. Embrace challenges as opportunities to learn and improve, and don’t be discouraged by failures.


Find Joy in Learning: Approach your studies with curiosity and enthusiasm. When you find joy in learning, school becomes more engaging and fulfilling.



Practice Kindness and Empathy: Treat others with kindness and understand their perspectives. A little compassion can make a big difference in someone’s day and help build a supportive community.


Take Care of Your Mental Health: Transition can be stressful, so it’s important to listen to your feelings and seek support if you need it. Make time for self-care and activities that help you relax and recharge.


Follow Your Passions: Pursue activities and interests that excite you. Whether it’s a hobby, sport, or subject, following your passions will bring you joy and help you discover your true potential.
